A Timeline of Your Daily Operations
- Early Morning Dispatch: Arrive at the distribution center. Review your daily route manifest, conduct a thorough DOT safety inspection of your modern refrigerated tractor-trailer, and ensure your cargo is perfectly secured.
- On-Route Navigation: Safely navigate through urban and regional traffic, executing precise maneuvers to access restaurant alleyways, hospital receiving docks, and school cafeterias.
- Active Physical Delivery: Utilize a commercial two-wheel hand truck and a metal ramp to manually unload heavy cases of food, moving efficiently from the trailer directly into the customer's kitchen, cooler, or freezer.
- Customer Engagement: Act as the trusted face of GFS. You will review invoices with the chef or kitchen manager, ensuring order accuracy and representing our commitment to quality service.
- Return & Wrap Up: Return safely to the depot, complete your electronic logging device (ELD) paperwork, and head home to rest for the evening.
