Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated and safety-focused commercial drivers for the role of Local Delivery Truck Driver. In this highly active, customer-facing role, you will be directly responsible for unloading high-quality food products safely and accurately into customer kitchens and storerooms. This position allows you to build strong relationships with local culinary professionals while returning home every single night.
Essential Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate a commercial 28 to 48-foot refrigerated straight truck or tractor-trailer across dense local and regional routes.
- Material Handling: Utilize a loading ramp and a commercial two-wheel hand truck to manually unload heavy cases of frozen meat, fresh produce, and canned goods.
- Customer Service: Interact directly with chefs and receiving managers, executing flawless invoice accuracy and processing returns.
- Compliance: Monitor and maintain the temperature zones within your refrigerated trailer to ensure strict food safety compliance.
Qualifications and Total Rewards
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) and a clean motor vehicle record. Exceptional physical strength is required to repetitively lift 50-100 pounds.
