About FedEx

At FedEx, exceptional leadership is the cornerstone of our operational success. We believe in empowering our management teams to inspire their associates, drive continuous improvement, and uphold our commitment to safety and quality. We provide robust leadership development programs, ensuring that our supervisors have the tools they need to build rewarding, long-term careers within our global organization.

Position Overview

We are seeking dynamic, results-driven leaders for the position of Operations Supervisor within our busy sortation facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for directing the daily activities of package handlers, managing workflow across the warehouse floor, and ensuring that dispatch deadlines are met without ever compromising safety. This is a highly active, front-line management position designed for leaders who prefer being on the floor alongside their team rather than behind a desk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct, train, and motivate a diverse team of package handlers to achieve daily production and quality metrics.
  • Actively monitor the sortation floor, identifying operational bottlenecks and dynamically reallocating labor to maintain workflow.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift briefings to communicate safety protocols, operational goals, and company updates.
  • Ensure uncompromising compliance with all workplace safety regulations and proper material handling procedures.
  • Assist the facility manager with scheduling, performance evaluations, and employee relations.

Qualifications and Benefits

Applicants should possess previous supervisory or leadership experience, preferably within a retail, logistics, or manufacturing environment. A high school diploma is required, though a college degree is strongly preferred. You must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to make rapid decisions under pressure, and the physical stamina to walk the warehouse floor throughout your shift. We offer a competitive salaried compensation package, comprehensive healthcare benefits, and substantial opportunities for internal promotion.
