Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated and safety-conscious individuals to join the network as a FedEx Ground Delivery Driver. In this role, you will be employed by an Independent Service Provider (ISP) contracted to deliver FedEx Ground packages. You will serve as the friendly, reliable face of FedEx in your local community, ensuring that residential and commercial customers receive their important deliveries accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial delivery step van or box truck through designated local routes.
- Deliver and pick up packages from residential and commercial addresses efficiently and professionally.
- Utilize handheld scanning technology to record delivery tracking information accurately.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections daily.
- Provide exceptional customer service and represent the FedEx brand with integrity.
Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver's license, and maintain a clean motor vehicle record. The ability to lift up to 75 pounds and maneuver heavier packages with a hand truck is essential. You must successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical, background check, and drug screen. Compensation packages, including hourly or daily pay and health benefits, are highly competitive and established directly by the contracted ISP.
