Position Overview

We are seeking highly skilled commercial drivers for the role of FedEx Freight City Driver. In this role, you will be the key operational link in our local LTL network. You will be responsible for navigating city streets to pick up and deliver heavy, palletized freight directly to our commercial customers. This position offers the professionalism of commercial trucking combined with the tremendous benefit of daily home time and a predictable schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial tractor-trailer (frequently utilizing 28-foot pup trailers) through congested urban and industrial areas.
• Perform pickup and delivery of commercial LTL freight, interacting professionally with shipping and receiving managers.
• Load and unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts at customer sites and FedEx service centers.
• Ensure all hazardous materials (HazMat) are transported safely and perfectly in accordance with federal regulations.
• Conduct thorough daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain electronic logs.

Qualifications and Benefits

Candidates must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with HazMat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements. A minimum of one year of verifiable commercial driving experience is required (or completion of a FedEx-approved driving school).
