Position Overview
We are seeking highly skilled commercial drivers to join our team as a Residential Route Driver. In this essential municipal role, you will pilot a complex Automated Side Loader (ASL) or Rear Loader garbage truck through a dedicated residential route. Essential Responsibilities
- Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely operate a massive Class B commercial vehicle. For ASL trucks, you will utilize complex joystick controls and camera systems to grab, dump, and replace residential waste bins efficiently.
- Route Execution: Execute a sprawling daily route, navigating tight cul-de-sacs, avoiding parked cars, and maintaining extreme vigilance for pedestrians in suburban environments.
- Transfer Operations: Safely navigate the heavy-machinery environment of the local landfill or recycling transfer station to empty your payload at the end of the route.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct highly rigorous DOT pre-trip inspections of the truck's complex hydraulic systems, air brakes, and mechanical arms to ensure flawless daily operation.
Qualifications and Benefits
